EDHS drama brings together students with a passion for theatre and provides opportunities for students to learn responsibility, creativity, and leadership skills. Members work together to prepare the annual fall play by rehearsing, building sets, gathering props and costumes, and preparing lights and sound effects. All students, regardless of previous theatre experience, are welcome to join.
The EDHS DRAMA CLUB is going back into East Dubuque history with its fall play, Mugsy Sent Me. Performances will be held November 7th at 6:30 p.m. and November 8th at 1:00 p.m.. This interactive dinner theatre-style show immerses audience members in a 1920s era speakeasy complete with gangsters, flappers and possibly even a Fed or two. There is also a Vaudeville show which will feature a piano player, acrobats, dancers, a magician, and a comedy routine. The Saturday performance is sold out, but $10 dessert-only tickets are available at the door for the Sunday performance. Doors to the theatre will open 30 minutes before show time.
